Headed up by the same great manager of 6 years, Joanna, and assistant manager/buyer of 7 years, Karl! In a recent interview, John and Mindy were asked what their favorite part of the business was.

With all the support of our loyal shoppers and the community, we are growing too big for even this location!! So here we stand, 11 years later, still with the original owners plus a fantastic, knowledgeable and helpful staff. That's over 10,000 square feet of wall to wall deals on good looking used furniture, appliances, and home decor. And that's where they're still located to this day. Very little parking available for their customers plus it was 2 stories (and still quickly becoming too small)! SO, in 2012 they made their biggest move yet to the 10,000+ square foot red and yellow building next door to Ace Hardware in Prescott Valley. The new location was more than double the size at 6,500 sq. Four years later we had completely outgrown that location and moved to a 2 story location right off Hwy 69 in Prescott Valley. “Finicky” has also done some growing since then! We started back on Long Mesa Dr. We have been serving the tri-city area (and many customers from Phoenix) for 11 years! It was simply, “FURNITURE YOU CAN BE PROUD OF – AT PRICES YOU CAN AFFORD” That has been FINICKY USED FURNITURE'S slogan ever since opening in Prescott Valley back in 2003. They went with the same business premise which had proved to be a successful before. Their friends, who were familiar with Cactus Flower, talked them into opening a store here. They sold “Cactus Flower” in Lake Havasu and moved here. About one year later they came to Prescott to visit some friends and fell head over heals in love with the area. Obviously, Mindy wasn't the only one with discriminating taste who simply couldn't afford the “new” furniture she liked.

That's when their first store, “Cactus Flower” was born in Lake Havasu and it turned out to be a great success. The second was to open a used furniture store, something he figured the area badly needed. One was to never go shopping with Mindy again.
